LATEST SERMON SERIES

FALL SERMON SERIES:
SEPTEMBER 11 - I was serving a church in Minnesota when 9/11 hit.  That was (and is) a national tragedy.  But, here on the East Coast, 9/11 is both a national AND a personal tragedy.  So, we will mark the 10th anniversary of the day that changed many of our lives with a service of remembrance and healing as we ask the question, "What Have We Learned?"  In some ways we probably have not learned very much, but the reminder again is that in ourselves we are hopelessly weak and in need of forgiving and forgiveness.  We'll hear again from the Lord that invites us to a life where we find strength, forgiveness, and the power to forgive in Him.

SEPTEMBER 18 - NOVEMBER 13 -- You may have heard of the Apostle's Creed or the Nicene Creed.  What's the big deal about these creeds, anyway?  How do they help us today?  These creeds helped the early church give a shorthand version about what it meant to believe in Christ as Savior.  In fact, these creeds were so powerful that many people went to their death proclaiming the truth in these creeds.  We will take a couple of months to unpack exactly what is in these creeds and why what they point toward is so important to our faith.

NOVEMBER 20 -- Before we head into the busy Thanksgiving/Christmas season, we'll pause to give thanks that Jesus Christ is our King, yesterday, today, and forever!

NOVEMBER 27 - DECEMBER 18 -- This season is usually very busy and, VERY noisy, right?  There seems to be noises everywhere, competing for our attention.  Usually lost in all those loud noises is the soft whimpering of a cry.  People cry out at this time of year.  So, we're going to look at 4 cries of Advent and how they find their healing in Jesus.  "Jesus is the Reason for the Season" is more than a slogan.  It is the direction we should be placing our hearing.

DECEMBER 25/JANUARY 1 -- You are invited to join us for these special days.  I'll be preparing an original Christmas Story on the 25th, and on the 1st, we'll have a chance to dedicate the year ahead to the Lord's leading and to our following!
