Youth Retreats

Jr. High Retreat

In a chaotic world, it is nice to just get away from everything. To get a time to step back from daily life and renew your relationship with God. To, in a sense, recharge your spiritual battery. While silent meditation is nice, it also isn't half bad for praise to be loud.

During Jr. High Winter Retreat, one could do just that. It was an excellent experience to be with teens my age who share at least one common interest, God. The best part about it is that the whole environment is very welcoming and warm. Nobody is left out in any of the activities provided, whether that be games, singing, or just plain hanging out and chatting. People won't find it weird if you stop to pray in the middle of an activity or if you bring up God in conversation.

The whole experience just gives you that little extra boost to be a more active Christian doing more work in the name of the Lord. It is a totally awesome experience (even if you do freeze your butt off!!)
